Army Education Corps (AEC-Male)

MA/MSc/BS (4 years)

Minimum 16 Years Education in following disciplines:

  • Computer Science
  • Mathematics
  • Geography/GIS
  • History
  • Islamic Studies/Arabic
  • Urdu

AGE: 28 Years as on Nov 01, 2025

Corps of Remount Veterinary and Farms Officer (RV&FC)

  • DVM or equivalent degree Registered with PVMC
  • MSc (Hons)/ M Phil (in relevant disciplines) will be given preference

Civilians:

  • 28 Years as on Nov 01, 2025

Serving VASs of RV&FC:

  • 21-35 Years as on Nov 01, 2025

Law Officers

Judge Advocate General Br (Male)

LLB Qualified:

  • A practicing member of Bar with minimum two years of experience

AGE: 28 Years as on Nov 01, 2025

Psychologist (Male)

M.Sc/ BS Psychology

AGE: 28 Years as on Nov 01, 2025

Academic Prerequisites

Minimum Marks

Minimum 62.5% Marks in annual system or 2.5 CGPA out of 4 in all Subjects from HEC recognized university as a regular student.

Minimum CGPA

Minimum CGPA 2 out of 4 or 50% marks in annual system for Law Officers & Psychology.

Division/Grade Restrictions

No 3rd Division or Grade D and only one 2nd Division/ Grade C throughout the academic career i.e Matric to MA/ MSc/ BS.

Preferred Candidate

MPhil/ MS/ PhD will be given preference.

Recognized Graduation Required

Candidate only graduated from HEC/ PEC recognized universities

4-Year Degree Mandatory

Candidates who have not completed 4 x Years Degree in given discipline are ineligible.

Degree Must Be Verified

Candidate to verify their degrees from HEC/PEC before entrance test.

HEC or Foreign HEC-Recognized Degrees

Candidates only graduated from HEC recognized universities or foreign universities recognized by HEC are eligible.

No Private Education Allowed

Candidates must have attained the entire education (Matric till MA/MSc/BS) as a regular student.

Candidates acquired qualification as private candidates are not eligible.

One Last ISSB Attempt

Once rejected by Inter Services Selection Board (ISSB) for PMA/ equivalent courses & once rejected for post graduate entry 1 x chance (validity limited for one year and for two consecutive courses of that services).

Following are ineligible

Rejection

A candidate twice rejected by Inter Service Selection Board (ISSB) after Intermediate/ A Levels will be eligible for 3rd chance on attaining higher academic qualification.

No 3rd Attempt Allowed

A candidate with specific higher qualification, who is rejected once by Inter Services Selection Board (ISSB) for PMA Long/ Graduate Course or equivalent Pakistan Navy/ Pakistan Air Force Courses and once rejected for specific higher qualification entry, will not be eligible for 3rd chance.

Conviction in Court

Convicted in a Court of Law for an offence involving moral turpitude or any heinous offence (to be ascertained by the competent military authority).

Hepatitis B & C Patient

Declared medically unfit due to Hepatitis B & C (cannot request for Appeal Medical Board).

Drug Test

Positive Drug Test from CMHs/ Military Hospitals/ AFIP will be considered as Permanent UNFIT for joining Pakistan Military Academy/ Training Institutions.

Tampering of Certificates

Tempering of academic certificates/ forgery/ concealment to get undue advantage will render an applicant permanently ineligible for all types of commission in Armed Forces.

Permanently Unfit

Permanently declared UNFIT by Appeal Medical Board (AMB). However, PAF candidates who become medically unfit for flying but fit for ground branches, can undergo routine medical examination as normal candidates, if they are desirous to join Pakistan Army.

1-Year Test Validity

Candidates tested within one year validity period (validity of Inter Services Selection Board/ General Headquarters/ Naval Headquarters/ Air Headquarters Selection Boards stands for one year).

Withdrawn

Withdrawn from any Academy/ Training Institution of Armed Forces on any ground.

Withdrawn from any Bonded Armed Forces College/ Institution on disciplinary grounds.

4-Month Retest Restriction

Tested within 4 x months (120 days) gap of previous appearance in Inter Services Selection Board (ISSB) except waiver granted by the competent authority.

Candidates tested within 4 x months (120 days) gap of previous appearance (for not recommended candidates).

Dismissed/Removed/Debarred

Dismissed/removed/debarred from Government Service including Armed Forces.

NOTE

Inter Services Selection Board (ISSB) Selection System assesses natural officer potential. Coaching on Inter Services Selection Board (ISSB) Tests adversely affects the chances of selection and results in many contradictions in personality traits. In case, it is found that any candidate trained in any private coaching center, he will be considered as ineligible to apply for all types of commissions
