According to Pakistan’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the primary goal of Dostarym-V was to refine tactics, techniques, and procedures essential for modern counter-terrorism operations. The training emphasized interoperability and coordination between both armies’ special operations units, enhancing their ability to respond jointly to regional and transnational threats.
The participants underwent joint field training, tactical simulations, and live combat exercises replicating real-world operational environments. The final demonstration highlighted the advanced skills developed during the exercise, showcasing joint tactical maneuvers, hostage rescue operations, and precision strikes — reflecting the professionalism and discipline of both forces.

Strengthening Regional Defense and Strategic Ties

The successful conclusion of Dostarym-V reinforces the two countries’ shared resolve to combat terrorism, extremism, and cross-border security threats, while promoting stability and cooperation across the region.
The exercise also aligns with Pakistan’s broader strategy of regional connectivity and military diplomacy, complementing its efforts to enhance economic and security partnerships within Central Asia. The growing sophistication of the Dostarym series reflects both nations’ commitment to peace, professional excellence, and operational readiness in addressing contemporary security challenges.
The successful completion of Dostarym-V highlights the deepening defense partnership between Pakistan and Kazakhstan. It not only enhances counter-terrorism capabilities but also symbolizes the enduring friendship and shared strategic vision of the two nations determined to promote peace and stability in the wider region.
