Six brave soldiers of the Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom and fourteen sustained injuries today after a cowardly power bomb attack followed by intense firing by terrorists in the Sultan Kalay area of Central Kurram district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The attack, orchestrated by the enemies of peace, initially involved a high-intensity improvised explosive device (IED) targeting a security forces convoy. The blast was immediately followed by heavy, indiscriminate firing from the TTP (Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan), resulting in a fierce exchange of fire. The subsequent engagement led to the loss of precious lives and the burning of security forces’ vehicles.
The nation mourns the loss of its heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty to defend the motherland.
The Armed Forces of Pakistan remain resolute in their commitment to eliminating terrorism from the country. Such desperate acts by miscreants will not diminish the unwavering resolve of the state and the security forces. Security operations have been immediately launched in the area to cordon off the location and eliminate the perpetrators involved in this heinous act.
The sacrifices of the martyrs will not be in vain, and the effort to bring lasting peace and stability to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will continue unabated.
