General Fayyadh bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, called on General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, NI(M), Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, at Joint Staff Headquarters on Tuesday.
The visiting dignitary was received by CJCSC General Sahir Shamshad Mirza and presented a Guard of Honour by a smartly turned-out tri-services contingent.

During the one-on-one and delegation-level talks, both sides deliberated on the evolving global and regional security environment and explored concrete avenues to further deepen and broaden defence and security cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
General Sahir Shamshad Mirza reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the protection of Harmain al-Sharifain.
General Fayyadh bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili lauded the professionalism and sacrifices of the Pakistan Armed Forces in the war against terrorism and acknowledged their role in maintaining regional peace and stability. He also commended the personal contributions of the CJCSC in strengthening the historic Pakistan–Saudi strategic relationship.
Both dignitaries reaffirmed their resolve to transform the longstanding fraternal ties into an even stronger strategic partnership through enhanced military-to-military engagements, joint exercises, training exchanges, and defence industrial collaboration.
The visit underscores the deep-rooted defence and security cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, with over 4,000 Pakistani troops currently deployed in the Kingdom under bilateral arrangements.
