A senior officer of the Pakistan Army, Lt Col Imran, embraced Shahadat (martyrdom) following a targeted attack in Dera Ismail Khan on January 28, 2026.

The incident occurred near Karamat Abad on the Dera-Bannu Road within the jurisdiction of Police Station Shorkot. Lt Col Imran was performing his professional duties at the time of the assault.
