Frontier Corps KP (North) Organizes Free Eye Camp for 1,200 Patients in Landi Kotal

In a major public welfare initiative, the Frontier Corps (FC) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (North) successfully conducted a free medical eye camp in the Landi Kotal area of Khyber District on February 11, 2026. The camp, held at Government Ammar Shaheed High School, provided essential ophthalmic services to over 1,200 patients from the local community and surrounding remote regions.

The initiative, spearheaded by the Khyber Rifles in collaboration with Al-Shifa Eye Trust, aimed to provide specialized healthcare to underprivileged residents who lack access to affordable eye treatment.

Key Highlights of the Medical Camp

  • Patient Care: More than 1,200 individuals, including men, women, and children, received comprehensive medical check-ups for various eye diseases and infections.

  • Free Provisions: FC KP North distributed free medicines and eyeglasses to those in need following their clinical examinations.

  • Surgical Referrals: Specialist doctors identified patients with chronic conditions, such as cataracts, and referred them for further surgical procedures at specialized hospitals.

  • Community Outreach: Residents of Landi Kotal and remote areas of the Khyber District expressed deep gratitude to the Frontier Corps and the Pakistan Army for bringing high-quality medical facilities directly to their doorsteps.

This camp is part of a broader series of humanitarian efforts by the Frontier Corps KP North to foster trust and provide socio-economic relief to the tribal districts. Similar initiatives have recently been conducted in the Tirah Valley and Mohmand District, reinforcing the military’s commitment to community welfare beyond security operations.
