“No Ceasefire Without Credible Guarantees”: Pakistan Declares Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq Will Continue Indefinitely

by | Mar 7, 2026

Pakistani security officials have issued a definitive ultimatum to the Kabul regime, stating that Operation Ghazab-lil-Haqq (Righteous Fury) will persist until the Afghan Taliban provides “concrete steps and credible guarantees” to end their patronage of terrorist networks. In a high-level briefing in Rawalpindi, officials characterized the current Afghan administration as a “proxy master” for groups targeting Pakistan, including Fitna al-Khawarij (TTP) and Fitna al-Hindustan.

The “Proxy Master” Ultimatum

Security sources confirmed that the military operation, launched on February 26, has shifted from a retaliatory strike to a sustained campaign of “territorial hygiene.”

  • Zero Tolerance for Patronage: Officials asserted that the burden of de-escalation lies solely with the Afghan Taliban. Pakistan demands an immediate halt to the sanctuary and logistical support provided to militants before any ceasefire negotiations can begin.

  • Precision Targeting: The military strictly rejected “Indian-backed media” reports regarding civilian casualties. Strikes in Nangarhar and Paktika provinces remain exclusively focused on ammunition depots, training camps, and launch pads.

  • Internal Security Surge: To complement the border offensive, security forces are conducting more than 200 intelligence-based operations (IBOs) daily across Pakistan to dismantle the domestic facilitation networks of these “Khawarij” groups.

Ideological and Regional Sovereignty

The briefing addressed both the moral and strategic dimensions of the conflict:

  • Religious Endorsement: Leading religious scholars have formally backed the state’s stance, labeling the fight against Fitna al-Khawarij as a “legitimate defense of Islamic values” and a struggle against those who distort the faith for cross-border militancy.

  • Sovereignty on All Fronts: Amid the widening U.S.-Iran-Israel conflict, officials dismissed rumors that Pakistan’s security is stretched thin. They reaffirmed that the Pakistan Armed Forces remain “fully prepared and capable” of defending the nation’s sovereignty on all borders simultaneously.

  • Message to the Afghan People: Officials clarified that Pakistan has no enmity toward the Afghan people, but emphasized that “brotherly ties” cannot coexist with the use of Afghan soil for terrorism against Pakistani citizens.

The Path Forward: Sustained Kinetic Pressure

Operation Ghazab-lil-Haqq is currently in its second week of high-intensity maneuvers. With the total neutralization of hostile intent as the primary objective, the Pakistan Army is prepared for a long-term engagement along the Durand Line. The message from Rawalpindi is clear: Pakistan will no longer accept empty rhetoric; only “practical steps” on the ground will lead to a cessation of hostilities.
