49 Terrorists Eliminated in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Security Forces eliminated 49 terrorists in different Intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in its press release stated:

“Over the last few days, security forces conducted a series of high-tempo joint intelligence-driven operations along with police, as part of relentless counter-terrorism campaign aimed at eliminating Indian proxies, Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan.”

The state used the terms Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan for banned terrorist groups i.e., Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and BLA respectively to highlight the fact they are being funded and supported by India to destabilize Pakistan and conduct terror attacks.

ISPR in its statement said that they achieved, “major successes, inflicting significant blows to the terrorist networks. A significant qua­ntity of weapons, explosive drums and remote detonation equipment were seized and destroyed.”

The intelligence-based operations were carried out in the following areas;

  • In Balochistan, 37 terrorists were eliminated in Mastung, Mach, Khuzdar and Panjgur districts.
  • In KP, 12 terrorists were killed in Bannu, North Waziristan, Orakzai and Khyber districts.
  • Moreover, explosives, IED detonating remotes, weapons, ammunition and motorcycles were recovered from the terrorists.

The resolve of the Security Forces remains unwavering and resolute to defend the nation’s soil. Sanitisation operations are being carried out to eliminate the remaining terrorists. The counterterrorism campaign under vision Azm-i-Isteh­kam continues with full might to wipe out the menace of foreign-sponsored terrorism from Pakistan.
