Eleven terrorists belonging to foreign sponsored terrorist groups were neutralized during Intelligence-Based Operations (IBOs) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan by the Security Forces of Pakistan.
The operational details of the engagements include:
- Bannu (KP): Two terrorists associated with Fitna al Khawarij (TTP) were eliminated. During the operation arms, and ammunition were recovered.
- South Waziristan (KP): Five Khawarij terrorists were eliminated during an operation in the Ladha sector.
- Khuzdar (Balochistan): Four terrorists belonging to Fitna al Hindustan were neutralized in the Sasool area with quadcopter surveillance assistance.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the security forces for their operational efficacy, swiftness, and successful completion of the operations. The leadership reiterated national resolve to eradicate terrorism and protect national security.
