Security forces neutralized five terrorists, including a high-value commander identified as Wazir, during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted in the Sarkini and Chedgi areas of Panjgur district, Balochistan.

The targeted operation was executed under the framework of Operation Radd-ul-Fitna-3 against operatives of Fitna al-Hindustan. Following an intense engagement, security personnel recovered a cache of heavy weaponry, machine guns, four motorcycles, and ammunition from the site.
Key developments from the operation include:
  • Elimination of Key Operative: Security forces eliminated terrorist commander Wazir alongside four accomplices active in extortion, kidnapping, armed robberies, and targeted attacks against local merchants and residents in Panjgur.
  • Recovery of Arms Cache: Operational teams seized military-grade arms, heavy weapons, and transit vehicles used to facilitate insurgent activities in the district.
  • Broader Operational Sweep: The action follows intelligence-driven operations across Mastung, Bolan, Washuk, Awaran, Sibi, Khuzdar, Harnai, and Nushki, which eliminated 15 terrorists a day prior as part of the broader counterterrorism campaign.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi commended the preparedness, professionalism, and operational execution of the security forces. He noted that the successful action dealt a major blow to terrorist networks in Balochistan and reaffirmed the government’s resolve to eliminate hostile elements to restore lasting peace across the province.
The operation comes amid intensified security measures under Operation Shaban and Operation Radd-ul-Fitna-3 to counter recent spikes in violent attacks against law enforcement and civic infrastructure in Balochistan. Counterterrorism sanitization sweeps remain underway to ensure the complete elimination of remaining insurgent cells.
