Pakistan’s CJCSC General Sahir Shamshad Mirza Awarded Saudi Arabia’s Highest Military Honour

General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, NI(M), Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), held high-level talks with General Fayyadh bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, Chief of General Staff of Saudi Armed Forces, during an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The two leaders engaged in comprehensive discussions on the evolving global and regional security landscape, identifying new opportunities to elevate bilateral defence collaboration across training, technology, and joint exercises.

Both sides reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to transforming the historic brotherly bond into an even stronger strategic partnership, rooted in mutual trust and shared interests.

In a glittering ceremony, General Al-Ruwaili conferred the prestigious King Abdulaziz Medal of Honour of the Excellent Class upon General Mirza—the Kingdom’s highest military decoration—in recognition of his pivotal role in fortifying Pakistan-Saudi military-to-military ties.

The Saudi leadership praised the unmatched professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces and paid glowing tribute to their immense sacrifices in the global fight against terrorism.
