Admiral Naveed Ashraf Confers Degrees on 3,300 Graduates at Bahria University Convocation

Celebrating a new generation of leadership and academic excellence, Bahria University Islamabad held its 28th Convocation Ceremony at the Jinnah Convention Centre. Admiral Naveed Ashraf, NI, NI (M), T Bt, Chief of the Naval Staff and Pro-Chancellor of Bahria University, graced the event as the Chief Guest, presiding over the graduation of over 3,300 students across a diverse range of disciplines.

Honoring Academic Distinction

The ceremony marked a significant milestone for the university, with a historic number of accolades awarded to the high achievers of the Class of 2026:

• Degrees Conferred: 3,300+ graduates from undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including Ph.D. scholars.

• Medals of Excellence: A total of 213 medals were presented to recognize exceptional merit, consisting of 108 Gold Medals and 105 Silver Medals.

• Global Readiness: Graduates from specialized fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Media Studies, and Engineering were recognized for their readiness to join global technological value chains.

In his keynote address, Admiral Naveed Ashraf congratulated the graduates and their families, emphasizing that the strength of a nation lies in the intellectual caliber of its youth.

“Higher education institutions are the primary engines of national development. The transformation of Bahria University into one of the country’s most prestigious institutions is a testament to its commitment to excellence,” the Naval Chief remarked.

He particularly lauded the university’s infrastructure expansion across major Pakistani cities and the launch of innovative programs tailored to meet the demands of the 21st-century job market.
