Chief of Defense Forces (CDF) and Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Asim Munir, met Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Hassan Al-Shaibani. In their meeting, they discussed defense cooperation, security, and other matters.

According to aAccording to a statement released by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR),, the meeting took place at the General Headquarters, Rawalpindi. The ISPR statement detailed;
In the meeting, “matters of mutual interest, regional security environment and avenues for enhanced bilateral defense and security cooperation were discussed. CDF Munir highlighted Pakistan’s longstanding fraternal ties with Syria and shared Pakistan’s perspective on global peace and regional stability, underscoring the importance of cooperation and collaborative efforts to address common security challenges. Both sides reiterated their resolve to strengthen bilateral ties further and expand engagements in the fields of defense and security.”
The Syrian Foreign Minister arrived in Islamabad on Thursday on the invitation of the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister. He also met the the Prime Minister of Pakistan earlier, during which bilateral cooperation, regional and international developments, and strengthening of mutual ties werewere discussed.
