Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Asim Munir has reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to eradicating terrorism and establishing lasting peace throughout the nation. The declaration was made during an investiture ceremony at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, where military awards were bestowed upon officers and soldiers of the Pakistan Army for their exceptional gallantry and distinguished service.

Field Marshal Asim Munir, serving as the chief guest, presented Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military) to 50 recipients and Tamgha-i-Basalat to 12. Families of fallen heroes (shuhada) were also honored, receiving posthumous awards in recognition of their loved ones’ ultimate sacrifice.
“Shuhada and Ghazis remain the enduring pride of the nation. Their honor and sacrifice are a sacred trust for every Pakistani,” stated CDF Asim Munir. “Peace and security of our motherland are owed to their supreme sacrifices and unwavering devotion to duty.”
The CDF lauded the resilience and fortitude of the shuhada’s families, acknowledging their profound sacrifices and unwavering dedication to the country. He also commended the operational readiness and unwavering resolve of Pakistan’s armed forces and law enforcement agencies (LEAs) in their ongoing efforts to combat terrorism.
“The fight against terrorism will continue with full national resolve until enduring peace and stability are achieved across the country,” CDF Asim Munir affirmed.
