COAS Field Marshal Asim Munir Leads Funeral for 12 Heroes Who Sacrificed Lives Defending Motherland

Namaz-e-Janaza for the twelve brave Shuhada who embraced Shahadat while gallantly defending the motherland against the unprovoked and cowardly aggression committed by the Afghan Regime on the night of 11/12 October 2025, was offered today in Chaklala Garrison, Rawalpindi.

The funeral ceremony was attended by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Federal Ministers, the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), senior civil and military officers, and members of the public, demonstrating national unity and profound respect for the fallen heroes.

Speaking at the solemn occasion, the Defence Minister paid tribute to the immense sacrifice, remarking:

“People of Pakistan are indebted to the ultimate sacrifice of these heroes who laid down their lives while defending the territorial integrity of Pakistan against the cowardly and treacherous aggression of the Taliban Regime and Indian sponsored terrorist proxies operating from inside Afghan soil.”

The Defence Minister added a stern message of national resolve, affirming: “The Armed Forces of Pakistan remain resolute to thwart any aggression and conspiracy against Pakistan with full support of the nation. These sacrifices strengthen our commitment to ensure that no enemy, foreign or sponsored, can ever threaten our borders or national sovereignty.”

The bodies of the Shuhada were later dispatched to their respective native towns, where they will be buried with full military honors. The nation grieves with the bereaved families and honors the memory of these valiant sons of the soil who made the supreme sacrifice.
