The Government of Pakistan and the Provincial Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa express their profound gratitude to the brave and patriotic people of Tirah Valley. In an exemplary display of national spirit, the local communities have voluntarily agreed to temporary relocation to facilitate a comprehensive counter-terrorism operation aimed at permanently purging the valley of militant elements.
This strategic relocation is a critical measure to ensure the safety of civilian lives and prevent collateral damage as security forces prepare to initiate final operations to restore lasting peace and the writ of the state.

Immediate Financial Assistance
To support this transition, the Federal and Provincial Governments have allocated USD 14.2 Million (approx. PKR 4 Billion) for the relocation and rehabilitation phase.
- Direct Support: Each relocating family will receive a one-time relocation allowance of USD 2,500 (PKR 700,000).
- Return Guarantee: The Government of Pakistan guarantees the safe and honorable return of all families to their homes within a period of two months.
Comprehensive Reconstruction & Socioeconomic Package
The Government is committed to a “Build Back Better” approach for Tirah Maidan. The following measures have been approved for immediate implementation:
1. Infrastructure & Connectivity
- Construction of link roads and foothill terracing as identified by tribal elders.
- Complete provision of essential utilities, including Water, Electricity, and Gas infrastructure.
- Integration of Tirah Maidan into the political landscape with its own Provincial Assembly Constituency.
2. Education & Healthcare
- Full restoration of educational activities.
- Construction of a State-of-the-art Cadet College.
- Establishment of Girls’ Schools within every tribal territory.
- Fully-funded upgradation of all existing hospitals and healthcare facilities.
3. Housing & Property Compensation
- PKR 8 Million compensation for fully destroyed houses.
- PKR 4 Million compensation for partially damaged houses.
- Expedited issuance of compensation cheques for all houses demolished since 2014.
- Fair market compensation for any land acquired by the government.
4. Economic Revival & Trade
- Special compensation packages for businessmen who have suffered financial losses.
- Provision of Interest-Free Loans to stimulate local enterprise.
- Regularization of Non-Custom Paid (NCP) vehicles in Tirah, with permitted entry into Peshawar.
Dignity in Transition
The Government ensures that the relocation process will be handled with the utmost respect for local traditions. There will be no confiscation or intrusive checking of personal belongings during the move. Furthermore, the state will provide dedicated transport and essential supplies to all families upon their return to the valley.
The people of Tirah have once again proven to be the frontline defenders of Pakistan’s sovereignty. The state stands ready to repay this sacrifice through unprecedented development and the restoration of peace.
