RAWALPINDI: The funeral prayers of Major Adnan Aslam Shaheed, 31, were offered at Chaklala Garrison on September 9, 2025. The officer, a resident of Rawalpindi, embraced martyrdom while undergoing treatment at Combined Military Hospital after sustaining injuries during a terrorist attack in Bannu on September 2.
The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Defence Minister, Information Minister, Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir NI (M), HJ, senior civil and military officers, and relatives of the shaheed.
The military said Major Adnan fought courageously, leading his men from the front against terrorists, reaffirming the armed forces’ determination to eliminate terrorism in all its forms.
The officer will be laid to rest in his hometown with full military honours.
