Pakistan Day was celebrated across all Pakistan Air Force (PAF) bases and installations today with traditional zeal and fervor. The day’s proceedings were marked by a high-profile Guard Mounting and Wreath Laying ceremony at the mausoleum of the national poet and philosopher, Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal, symbolizing the PAF’s deep commitment to the ideological foundations of the state.
The celebrations commenced with special Fajr prayers offered for the solidarity, progress, and prosperity of Pakistan and the broader Muslim world amidst the current regional challenges.

The Guard Mounting Ceremony
In a display of impeccable discipline and tradition, a smartly turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Air Force took over guard duties at Mazar-e-Iqbal.

Transition of Honor: The PAF contingent officially relieved the Satluj Rangers of their post, a symbolic handover that takes place annually to commemorate the signing of the Lahore Resolution.

Ceremonial Precision: The shift in guard duties reflects the PAF’s role as a primary guardian of the nation’s heritage and its visionary precursors.
Tribute to the National Poet
The Chief Guest for the ceremony was Air Vice Marshal Muhammad Shahid Afzaal, Air Officer Commanding (AOC), PAF Airmen Academy, Korangi Creek.

Wreath Laying: On behalf of the Chief of the Air Staff, officers, airmen, and civilians of the PAF, the Air Vice Marshal laid a floral wreath at the grave of Allama Iqbal.

Offering Fateha: The ceremony included the offering of Fateha, paying homage to the philosopher whose “Two-Nation Theory” and poetic vision provided the intellectual impetus for the creation of Pakistan.
