Pakistan Armed Forces Reaffirm Support for IIOJK on Kashmir Solidarity Day

On the solemn occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day, the tri-services leadership of the Pakistan Armed Forces has issued a joint message of resolute support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) in their struggle for the right to self-determination.

Joint Leadership Statement

The statement was issued on behalf of the Armed Forces of Pakistan by:

The military leadership paid tribute to the “resilient people of IIOJK,” acknowledging their epic endurance against decades of systemic oppression.

Condemnation of Human Rights Violations

The Pakistan Armed Forces voiced a strong condemnation of the ongoing atrocities in the occupied territory. The statement highlighted grave violations of international law, including:

  • Extrajudicial killings and enforced disappearances.
  • Arbitrary detentions of Kashmiri youth and leadership.
  • Demographic engineering, citing blatant attempts to alter the political and social landscape of the region.

A Call for Global Action

The leadership reiterated that lasting peace and stability in South Asia are inextricably linked to a “just and peaceful resolution” of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute. They emphasized that any solution must be reached in accordance with:

  • Relevant United Nations Security Council (UNSC) Resolutions.
  • The genuine aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

The Armed Forces called upon the international community to move beyond rhetoric and take “concrete and meaningful action” to alleviate the humanitarian crisis and end the suffering of the Kashmiri people.

Commitment to Sovereignty

Concluding the message, the Armed Forces of Pakistan reaffirmed their dual commitment: to safeguard the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Pakistan, and to remain an unwavering pillar of support for their Kashmiri brothers and sisters in their “rightful quest for freedom and dignity.”
