Joint Exercise Dostarym-V between the Armies of Pakistan and Kazakhstan has commenced in Pakistan, focusing on strengthening cooperation and refining tactical skills in the Counter-Terrorism domain.
The 12-day exercise is being conducted from 13 to 24 October 2025 at the Special Operations School, Cherat, Pakistan. Elite troops from the Special Services Group (SSG) of the Pakistan Army and the Special Forces of the Kazakhstan Army are actively participating in the joint training drills.
The formal opening ceremony for the Exercise was conducted on 14 October 2025 at Cherat.
Strategic Objectives
The primary objectives of Exercise Dostarym-V are dual-fold:
- Refining Professional Skills: To enhance and refine the professional skills of the participating contingents through rigorous joint training in a realistic counter-terrorism environment.
- Harnessing Relations: To further harness and solidify the historic military-to-military relations between the two friendly countries.
The participating troops are utilizing this platform to exchange and benefit from mutual expertise and operational experience in dealing with complex security challenges, thereby strengthening interoperability and regional stability.
