On 21 November 2025, following credible intelligence on the presence of Khwarij elements, a joint operation was conducted by Pakistan’s Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies in Bannu District.
During the operation, the forces effectively engaged the targeted location. After an intense exchange of fire, eight Khwarij, affiliated with the Indian-sponsored Fitna Al Khwarij network, were neutralized. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the eliminated terrorists, who had been actively involved in multiple attacks against Security Forces, Law Enforcement Agencies, and the targeted killing of innocent civilians.
The operation highlights the strengthened collaboration between Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies, with intelligence-driven operations being intensified across the region. These coordinated measures aim to restrict the operational mobility of Khwarij elements, dismantle their facilitation networks, and reduce their capacity to reorganize. Early outcomes indicate measurable success in curbing terrorist activities and enhancing regional security.
Sanitization operations are ongoing to locate and neutralize any remaining Indian-sponsored Khwarij in the area. Under the vision “Azm-e-Istehkam”, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, Pakistan’s Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies remain committed to a relentless counter-terrorism campaign to eliminate foreign-sponsored terrorism and restore peace and stability across the country.
