Somali Interior Minister Meets Naval Chief at Naval Headquarters

The Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs & Reconciliation of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Ali Yusuf Ali (Hosh), called on the Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, at Naval Headquarters in Islamabad today.

Upon his arrival at the Naval Headquarters, the visiting dignitary was received by Admiral Naveed Ashraf. During the subsequent meeting, matters of mutual interest, regional maritime security, and bilateral naval collaboration were discussed in detail.

Admiral Naveed Ashraf highlighted Pakistan Navy’s commitment to regional maritime peace and stability, emphasizing the importance of collaborative efforts in countering maritime security threats. He expressed the Pakistan Navy’s readiness to provide training and capacity-building support to the Somali maritime forces.

H.E. Ali Yusuf Ali (Hosh) acknowledged the professional standing of the Pakistan Navy and expressed his gratitude for Pakistan’s continued support in various domains. He underscored the importance of strengthening bilateral ties between the two nations, particularly in the fields of maritime security and federal cooperation.
