Rawalpindi | September 8, 2025 – Commander of the United Arab Emirates Naval Forces, Major General Humaid Mohammed Abdulla Alremeithi, paid an official visit to General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, NI(M), Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), at Joint Staff Headquarters, Rawalpindi.
The two dignitaries held in-depth discussions on professional matters, reviewing the evolving global and regional geo-strategic environment. They emphasized the significance of bilateral defence cooperation, particularly in the maritime domain, as a cornerstone for regional peace and stability.
General Mirza reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing military-to-military collaboration with the UAE, while the visiting commander lauded the professional standards of Pakistan’s Armed Forces. He also paid tribute to their sacrifices in the fight against terrorism and acknowledged Pakistan’s consistent role in promoting peace in the region.
On arrival at the Joint Staff Headquarters, a smartly turned-out tri-services contingent presented a Guard of Honour to the UAE Naval Chief, underscoring the importance of the visit in further deepening defence ties between the two brotherly nations.
The meeting reinforced the resolve of Pakistan and the UAE to expand cooperation across all defence domains, setting the tone for stronger strategic partnership in the years ahead.
