In a significant and decisive blow against the forces of terrorism, Pakistan’s security forces have successfully concluded a series of targeted operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. These actions, carried out on September 9th and 10th, resulted in the elimination of 19 terrorists identified as belonging to the TTP-affiliated group, Fitna al Khwarij, which has been designated as an Indian proxy. The successful culmination of these operations reinforces the nation’s resolve to achieve lasting peace and stability.
The intelligence-based operations were meticulously planned and executed in three separate locations. The first was conducted in the Guluno area of Mohmand District, where security forces, acting on credible intelligence, engaged a location with a substantial terrorist presence. Following a fierce and sustained firefight, 14 Indian-sponsored Khwarij were neutralized.
The counter-terrorism effort continued with a second operation in the Datta Khel area of the North Waziristan district. During this engagement, four more Khwarij were killed by the security forces. In a third, distinct encounter in the Bannu district, one additional terrorist was neutralized, bringing the total number of terrorists killed to 19.
Security forces recovered a large cache of weapons and ammunition from the neutralized terrorists, confirming their active involvement in numerous hostile activities that have threatened the safety of civilians and state institutions. Ongoing sanitization operations are now in progress to fully secure the areas and ensure the complete eradication of any remaining terrorist remnants.
National Leadership Applauds Bravery and Commitment
The successful operations were met with high praise from Pakistan’s top leadership. President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif both lauded the unwavering bravery and operational excellence of the armed forces.
President Zardari’s statement highlighted the continuous sacrifices of the soldiers, noting, “The courage and professionalism of our brave soldiers are a constant shield for the nation against terrorism. These operations prove Pakistan’s unshakeable resolve to confront and defeat Indian-sponsored terrorism.”
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif affirmed this commitment, stating, “The war against this scourge will not cease until terrorism is completely eradicated from our soil. The officers and personnel of the Pakistan Army are engaged day and night to foil the malicious designs of the Khawarij and the Fitna of Hindustan.”
The security forces of Pakistan remain dedicated to their mission, ensuring the safety and sovereignty of the nation, and their tireless efforts will continue until peace is permanently restored.
