Pakistan Army and UAE Presidential Guards Conclude Joint Counter-Terrorism Exercise Jalmood-I at Tarbela

The Pakistan Army’s Special Services Group (SSG) and the UAE Presidential Guards wrapped up the inaugural two-week Joint Counter-Terrorism Exercise “Jalmood-I” at the Tarbela Training Area, marking a milestone in bilateral military collaboration.

The exercise, held from October 29 to November 11, honed hostage rescue operations through high-intensity drills simulating urban and rural scenarios. Elite troops from both forces shared tactics, techniques, and procedures to bolster interoperability against evolving terror threats.

The closing ceremony was graced by the General Officer Commanding (GOC) SSG as Chief Guest, alongside senior UAE military officials and diplomats. The GOC commended the participants’ professionalism and resolve, stating: “Jalmood-I exemplifies the unbreakable bond between our nations, transforming shared challenges into collective strength.”

UAE representatives echoed the sentiment, highlighting the exercise’s role in enhancing regional security. The event featured live demonstrations of coordinated assaults, underscoring precision and synergy.

Jalmood-I aligns with Pakistan and UAE’s longstanding defence partnership, fostering mutual trust and operational readiness. Future iterations will expand on emerging domains like cyber and drone threats.

This collaboration reaffirms both countries’ commitment to a stable, terror-free region—proving that unity in training yields victory in action.
