Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, COAS & CDF, Reviews Operational Preparedness at Gujranwala and Sialkot Garrisons

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), conducted an official visit to the Gujranwala and Sialkot Garrisons today. Upon his arrival, the CDF was provided with comprehensive briefings detailing the formation’s operational readiness status and key strategic initiatives aimed at further strengthening combat preparedness.

During his visit, Field Marshal Munir personally witnessed a complex field training exercise designed to validate integrated maneuverability, as well as an advanced simulator training facility. The CDF lauded the formation’s high professional standards, dedication to rigorous training, and overall robust state of readiness.

Focus on Modern Warfare and National Security

While interacting with officers and soldiers, the COAS & CDF underscored the critical importance of technological adaptability in the contemporary security environment. He noted that modern warfare necessitates unparalleled agility, surgical precision, enhanced situational awareness, and the capacity for swift, informed decision-making across all levels of command.

Field Marshal Munir commended the troops for their high morale and steadfast commitment to national security. He emphasized that the Pakistan Army remains fully focused on addressing the spectrum of both internal and external challenges. This includes actively countering hostile hybrid campaigns, rooting out extremist ideologies, and neutralizing divisive elements seeking to undermine the fundamental stability and cohesion of the nation.

Earlier on his arrival at Gujranwala, the COAS & CDF was received by the Corps Commander Gujranwala.
