On 24 December 2025, Security Forces conducted a successful Intelligence-Based Operation (IBO) in the general area of Kulachi, Dera Ismail Khan District, following reports regarding the presence of Khwarij.

During the conduct of the operation, Pakistani troops effectively engaged the location of the Khwarij. After an intense exchange of fire, two Khwarij were sent to hell. Among the killed was high-value target and Kharji ringleader Dilawar.
Dilawar was a notorious individual, highly wanted by Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) for his direct involvement in multiple high-profile terrorist activities. The Government of Pakistan had previously fixed a head money of PKR 4 Million on him.
A cache of weapons and ammunition was also recovered from the neutralized Khwarij, who had remained actively involved in numerous terrorist acts against security forces and the targeted killing of innocent civilians.
A sanitization operation is currently being conducted to eliminate any other foreign-sponsored Khwarij found in the area.
The Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan remain committed to the relentless Counter-Terrorism campaign under the vision “Azm-e-Istehkam,” as approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan. The operation will continue at full pace to completely wipe out the menace of foreign-sponsored terrorism from the motherland.
