Maritime Security Exercise ‘Sea Guard-2026’ Successfully Culminates in Karachi

The third edition of the high-profile Maritime Security Exercise, Sea Guard-26, reached its successful conclusion in Karachi today. Vice Admiral Raja Rab Nawaz, Chief of Staff (Personnel) of the Pakistan Navy, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest to oversee the final review of the maneuvers.

Validating Maritime Response and Information Sharing

The culmination of Sea Guard-26 involved a comprehensive review of multi-scenario tactical drills. These exercises were specifically designed to validate robust information-sharing protocols and rapid response mechanisms against evolving maritime threats. The drills tested the synergy between various naval assets and land-based coordination centers, ensuring a seamless flow of intelligence during critical operations.

Recognition of JMICC’s Strategic Role

During his address, Vice Admiral Raja Rab Nawaz lauded the pivotal role of the Joint Maritime Information Coordination Center (JMICC). He emphasized that JMICC has been instrumental in harmonizing the efforts of all maritime stakeholders, creating a unified front to safeguard Pakistan’s blue economy and maritime interests.

The Chief Guest expressed his satisfaction with the high level of preparedness and the professional excellence displayed by the participants, noting that such integrated exercises are vital for maintaining a secure and stable maritime environment in the region.
