The meeting was attended by the top civil and military leadership, including Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), and Lieutenant General Asim Malik, Pakistan’s National Security Adviser (NSA) and Director General of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).
Strategic Regional Assessment: Iran, Afghanistan, and India The forum conducted a deep-dive analysis of the evolving regional landscape. Key focus areas included:

Iran: The impact of the “Operation Epic Fury” strikes and the subsequent Iranian retaliatory waves on regional stability.

Afghanistan: A detailed review of the progress of Operation Ghazab-lil-Haqq and the security dynamics along the Durand Line following unprovoked Taliban aggression.

India: Monitoring the eastern border and the recent surge in “gray zone” activities, including the hacking of national media transmissions.
Evacuation via Azerbaijan: Protecting Citizens Abroad On the Prime Minister’s direct orders, the meeting prioritized the safety of Pakistani nationals currently in the conflict zone. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) provided a detailed briefing on the emergency evacuation plan. It was confirmed that diplomatic channels have been activated to facilitate the safe return of Pakistani citizens from Iran via Azerbaijan. The government is working around the clock to ensure a secure corridor for those stranded by the closure of Iranian and regional airspaces.
Internal Security and National Resolve Lieutenant General Asim Malik provided an extensive briefing on Pakistan’s internal security arrangements, ensuring that domestic stability is maintained despite regional volatility. The Prime Minister reaffirmed that the protection of Pakistani citizens, both at home and abroad, remains the supreme priority of the state.
High-Level Attendance The summit included Federal Ministers Ahsan Iqbal, Mohsin Naqvi, Azam Nazeer Tarar, Ahad Khan Cheema, Attaullah Tarar, and Ali Pervaiz Malik, along with Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi and senior civil and military officials. The leadership collectively reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace while maintaining an uncompromising stance on national security and territorial integrity.
