The Jets and Aircrafts sent by Pakistan have been deployed at the King Abdulaziz Air Base with the aim of: strengthening the joint military coordination; enhancing operation readiness between the armed forces of the two countries amid the regional and international security circumstances and volatility—as reported by Saudi Defense Ministry.
For context, it may be noted that the Strategic Mutual Defense Agreement between Pakistan and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was signed in September 2025, by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. According to the SDMA the signatory countries would consider any act of aggression against the either of two as aggression against both.
The warplanes were deployed amid the Islamabad Peace Talks in the backdrop of two-week ceasefire mediated between US-Iran by Pakistan.
