Rawalpindi, November 12, 2025 – Pakistan and Tajikistan pledged to bolster defense cooperation during a key meeting at Joint Staff Headquarters, as Tajik Defence Minister Colonel General Sobirzoda Emomali Abdulrahim called on Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza.

The leaders discussed global and regional security challenges, with a focus on expanding military collaboration. “Pakistan and Tajikistan, as brotherly nations, remain constructively engaged in strengthening defence relations to promote peace and stability in the region,” an ISPR press release on this meeting stated.
The Tajik minister praised Pakistan’s professionalism and counterterrorism successes, calling the Armed Forces a “beacon of stability.”A tri-services Guard of Honour welcomed the dignitary, underscoring mutual respect.
The talks come amid rising regional threats, including cross-border terrorism and instability in Afghanistan. Both nations aim to deepen training, intelligence sharing, and joint exercises.
With shared borders and common challenges, this engagement signals a stronger united front against extremism and for Central-South Asia security.
