Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO), Rear Admiral Saif Bin Nasser Bin Mohsin Al Rahbi, called on Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, NI, NI (M), T Bt, at Naval Headquarters, Islamabad today.

During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, regional maritime security, and bilateral naval cooperation were discussed in detail. The visiting dignitary lauded the professionalism of the Pakistan Navy and acknowledged its consistent contributions toward ensuring maritime security and stability in the region.
Strategic Information Sharing MoU
In a significant step toward enhanced maritime awareness, the Chief of the Naval Staff and the Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) related to the sharing of “White Shipping” information.
The MoU, signed during a formal ceremony at Naval Headquarters, establishes clear guidelines and procedures for information exchange. This initiative is aimed at improving mutual transparency and safety regarding commercial maritime traffic in the region’s vital sea lanes.
A Legacy of Partnership
Pakistan and Oman enjoy close geographical proximity and share common maritime boundaries. The bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries encompass a wide range of cooperation, including economic ties, people-to-people contacts, and robust defense relations.
