Field Marshal Asim Munir Reviews Production Capabilities, Technological Upgrades, and Corporatisation at Pakistan Ordnance Factory, Wah.

Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Asim Munir visited the Pakistan Ordnance Factory (POF) Wah on Saturday. During his visit he reviewed POF’s production capabilities, export potential, and the contributions made to the national defence industrial base.

The focus of the visit was on expanding and advancing self-reliance, and driving technological innovation across Pakistan’s military manufacturing sector.

The Field Marshal during the visit witnessed live tests and trials of the indigenously designed and manufactured arms and ammunitions. He also received an operational briefing detailing the progress on POF’s corporatization process after the enactment of DIPRA Ordinance.

CDF Asim Munir also apprised the current indigenization efforts inclusive of the two new plants that are to commence production by the end of 2026. He stressed the importance of continued indigenous development, production of military equipment locally to strengthen national defence and boost export capabilities.
