ISPR Winter Internship Program: Students Visit Sindh Rangers

by | Feb 13, 2026

As part of the ongoing ISPR Winter Internship Program 2026, more than 450 students representing 28 universities across Sindh visited the Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) Training Center and School. This immersive educational visit aimed to bridge the gap between the youth and the country’s security apparatus, providing firsthand insight into the professional excellence and sacrifices of the paramilitary force.

Hands-On Exposure to National Defense

During the visit, interns were given a front-row seat to the rigorous training and operational readiness of the Sindh Rangers. Key highlights included:

  • Live Firing Exercises: Students observed high-precision firing drills and tactical maneuvers.

  • Counter-Terrorism Drills: Special wings of the Rangers demonstrated modern techniques used to combat urban crime and terrorism.

  • Security Briefings: In-depth sessions focused on the Rangers’ multifaceted role in border security and maintaining law and order in Karachi and interior Sindh.

Youth Perspectives on National Service

Participating students expressed profound appreciation for the dedication of the force, noting that the experience significantly enhanced their national awareness and patriotism.

“Seeing the level of discipline and expertise here is eye-opening,” said one participating student. “It gives us a deeper understanding of the Army and Rangers’ determination to protect this land.”

The cohort also paid tribute to the Sindh Rangers’ service since 1995, acknowledging their pivotal role in restoring Karachi’s status as a hub of commercial and cultural activity by curbing systemic crime and unrest.

The ISPR Winter Internship Program 2026

The visit is a cornerstone of the six-week ISPR flagship program (January 12 – February 20, 2026), which has deployed thousands of students across 25 centers nationwide. By exposing future leaders to real-world defense activities—ranging from the Line of Control (LoC) to training centers in Sindh—the program aims to cultivate a disciplined, informed, and patriotic generation.
