AI-Enabled & Net-Centric Operations
Conducted under a “Two-Force” construct, Exercise Golden Eagle focused on the integration of AI-enabled, net-centric operations. The exercise showcased the PAF’s transition toward modern warfare, incorporating indigenous niche, disruptive, and smart technologies tailored to the evolving regional security dynamics.
Integrated All-Domain Dominance
Operating within a sophisticated Integrated Air Defence System (IADS), participating forces demonstrated a seamless fusion of kinetic operations with:
- Cyber Operations
- Space-Based Assets
- Electro-Magnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO)
The kinetic phase featured the deployment of “First-Shoot, First-Kill” swing-role combat aircraft. These platforms utilized long-range Beyond Visual Range (BVR) air-to-air missiles, extended-range stand-off weapons (SOW), and precision-guided munitions, supported by Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C) platforms and Air-to-Air Refuellers.
Manned-Unmanned Teaming (MUM-T)
A significant milestone of the exercise was the successful execution of Manned–Unmanned Teaming (MUM-T). Deep-reach “killer” drones and loitering munitions were deployed in highly contested and electronically degraded environments. This successfully validated the PAF’s capability to maintain high-tempo operations against modern, sophisticated adversaries.
Next-Generation Command & Control
All operations were executed under unified command from the Next-Generation All-Domain Command & Control Centre (NADCC) at Air Headquarters, Islamabad. This centralized hub ensures real-time situational awareness and rapid decision-making across all theaters of operation.
The successful completion of Exercise Golden Eagle reaffirms the Pakistan Air Force’s unwavering commitment to maintaining a high state of operational preparedness and leveraging indigenous innovation to counter emerging global security challenges.
