Pak-China Joint Counterterrorism Exercise ‘Warrior-IX’ Culminates in Distinguished Visitors Day Ceremony

The joint counterterrorism exercise Warrior-IX, being conducted between the Pakistan Army and the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China, is nearing its conclusion. The two-week exercise, which commenced on 28 November and is scheduled to conclude on 14 December 2025, is aimed at significantly enhancing interoperability and strengthening the robust military-to-military cooperation between the two strategic partners.

A major highlight of the exercise was the Distinguished Visitors Day (DVD) ceremony, which was successfully held yesterday, 11 December 2025, at the National Counter Terrorism Center (NCTC), Pabbi.

His Excellency Mr. Jiang Zaidong, the Ambassador of China to Pakistan, graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest, accompanied by senior military and diplomatic dignitaries from China. The Chief of General Staff, Pakistan Army, attended the event as the Guest of Honour.

During the visit, the honourable guests were provided with a comprehensive briefing on the scope, objectives, and meticulous conduct of the joint exercise. They subsequently witnessed various high-intensity counterterrorism drills and specialized maneuvers. The visiting dignitaries expressed their profound appreciation for the exceptional professionalism, operational competence, and high morale demonstrated by the participating troops from both the Pakistan Army and the PLA.

Exercise Warrior-IX powerfully reflects the deep-rooted and strong defence collaboration shared between Pakistan and China, and it reaffirms the unwavering commitment of both Armed Forces to working together for regional peace and stability.
