Pakistan Naval Academy Hosts Commissioning Parade for 124th Midshipmen, and 32nd SSC Course

The Pakistan Naval Academy (PNA) held a prestigious Commissioning Parade for the 124th Midshipmen and 32nd Short Service Commission (SSC) Course today, celebrating the graduation of 90 Midshipmen and 34 SSC cadets.

The ceremony was graced by Rear Admiral Ahmed Mohamed Ebrahim Al Bin Ali, Commander of the Royal Bahrain Naval Force, who served as the Chief Guest. Upon his arrival, he was received by Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of the Naval Staff.

International Cooperation and Excellence

The parade served as a testament to the Pakistan Navy’s role in regional maritime security and its commitment to international military cooperation. Cadets from five friendly nations—Bahrain, Iraq, the Republic of Djibouti, Sri Lanka, and Türkiye—marched alongside their Pakistani counterparts.

Rear Admiral Ahmed Mohamed Ebrahim Al Bin Ali, himself a distinguished alumnus of the Pakistan Naval Academy, expressed profound pride in returning to his alma mater. He lauded the Pakistan Navy as a “key regional force” and commended the high standard of professional training provided to international officers. He further reaffirmed the “enduring bonds and shared values” that define the relationship between Pakistan and the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The Commissioning Parade of 124ᵗʰ Midshipmen and 32ⁿᵈ Short Service Commission Course (SSC) was held at Pakistan Naval Academy, Karachi, marking the passing out of 90 Midshipmen and 34 SSC cadets.

Following the review of the parade, the Chief Guest presented prizes to the top-performing graduates for their exceptional merit:

  • Sword of Honour: Midshipman Muhammad Uzair Abbas (Overall Best Performance)
  • Academy’s Dirk: Midshipman Shahab Ahmed
  • Chief of the Naval Staff Gold Medals: Officer Cadet Umar Mukhtar (Pakistan) and Officer Cadet Aldhahabi Fahad Husam Fareed (Iraq)
  • Commandant Gold Medal: Officer Cadet Syed Saad Shahid (SSC Course)
  • Proficiency Banner: Quarterdeck Squadron

The event concluded with a display of military precision and was attended by senior military officers, civil dignitaries, and the proud families of the newly commissioned officers.
