The Pakistan Navy proudly announces the successful live weapon firing of the ‘Taimoor’ air-launched cruise missile, a testament to our nation’s growing defense capabilities and commitment to maritime security. This indigenously developed Anti-Ship Weapon System demonstrated exceptional precision during the test, showcasing the Pakistan Navy’s operational readiness and ability to decisively neutralize enemy sea-based threats at extended ranges.

The successful test marks a significant leap forward in our national defense capabilities, bolstering the Pakistan Armed Forces’ multi-dimensional coordinated strike posture in the conventional domain. We stand resolute in our commitment to safeguarding the nation’s maritime interests and sovereign waters.

The President, Prime Minister of Pakistan, Chief of Defence Forces, and Services Chiefs have extended their congratulations to the scientists and engineers whose dedication and expertise made this achievement possible.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi hailed the successful test as a milestone in Pakistan’s defense capabilities, reaffirming the Pakistan Navy’s unwavering commitment to protecting the nation’s maritime borders.

This achievement follows the successful firing of a locally developed anti-ship ballistic missile in April and a comprehensive exercise involving the successful firing of a surface-to-air missile in January, further demonstrating the Pakistan Navy’s commitment to continuous improvement and self-reliance in defense technology.
