The Sacred Trust of Law Enforcement

Addressing the senior officials and Cadet Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs), the Field Marshal underscored that a strong, professional, and people-centric police force is “indispensable” for the internal security and the preservation of the rule of law in Pakistan.

“The duty of the police to enforce law and order is a sacred trust,” the Field Marshal remarked. He further highlighted the pivotal role of the police as the primary shield for the citizenry, stating that the force acts as the “first line of defence” in safeguarding the lives, property, and honour of the people.

Unity of Effort and Institutional Support

Reaffirming the synergy between the country’s security institutions, the CDF assured that the Armed Forces would remain steadfast in their support for their counterparts in blue. He stated:

  • The Armed Forces will always stand fully with the brave and proud police personnel of Pakistan.
  • Internal security is a collaborative effort requiring seamless coordination between military and civil law enforcement agencies.
  • The professional excellence of the police is central to the nation’s stability.

He offered Fatiha and paid solemn tribute to the Shuhada of the Police who have laid down their lives in the line of duty. He acknowledged the “supreme sacrifices” rendered by police personnel while combating terrorism, organized crime, and evolving internal security threats.

Modernization and Reforms

The Field Marshal was briefed on the School for High-Impact Elite Law Enforcement Development (SHIELD), alongside various modernization initiatives aimed at enhancing the professional capacity of the force. The senior police leadership reaffirmed their commitment to advancing institutional reforms to meet contemporary challenges.
