Pakistani Security Forces conducted two decisive intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province on November 8–9, eliminating 20 militants affiliated with the Indian-proxy group Fitna al-Khwarij, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed Monday.

In the first engagement in the Shawal area of North Waziristan District, troops targeted a reported militant hideout, effectively neutralizing eight Indian-sponsored Khwarij in a precise strike. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the site.

A second operation in Dara Adam Khel District followed intense firefights, resulting in the elimination of 12 additional militants. No casualties were reported among security personnel.

Sanitization efforts continue to clear the areas of any remaining threats. All operations were conducted under the national vision “Azm-e-Istehkam,” approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, underscoring Pakistan’s unrelenting campaign to eradicate foreign-sponsored terrorism.

These actions come amid a surge in cross-border militancy, with over 600 terror incidents in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa alone during the first eight months of 2025, claiming 138 civilian and 79 police lives. The militants, described as operating under Afghan handlers, highlight ongoing challenges despite recent ceasefires.

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff, commended the forces’ professionalism, stating: “Our resolve against terrorism remains ironclad. Every sacrifice strengthens our path to lasting peace.”

Pakistan reaffirms its commitment to border security and calls for regional cooperation to dismantle terror networks. The nation stands united in honoring its defenders and pursuing stability for future generations.
