Ulema, and Mashaikh from the National Paigham-i-Aman Committee Meet DG ISPR in Rawalpindi

A high-level delegation of Ulema and Mashaikh from the National Paigham-i-Aman Committee, led by Coordinator Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi, called on Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry in Rawalpindi today.

The delegation expressed unwavering solidarity with the Pakistan Armed Forces and reaffirmed a collective national resolve to counter anti-state narratives and hostile propaganda. During the meeting, the committee strongly condemned “Fitna-al-Khawarij” and the actions of the Afghan Taliban, emphasizing that terrorism finds no justification under any circumstances or religious pretext.

Key Resolutions and Strategic Initiatives

The National Paigham-i-Aman Committee announced a comprehensive nationwide plan to disseminate the message of Islamic unity, social harmony, and constitutional equality. This initiative will be spearheaded through mosques, madaris, and other religious platforms to reach the grassroots level.

Furthermore, both sides agreed on a strict “Zero-Tolerance Policy” against:

  • Hate speech and sectarianism.
  • Takfiri narratives aimed at destabilizing society.
  • Hostile psychological warfare.

National Security and Narrative Building

Speaking on the occasion, DG ISPR Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry emphasized that unity on matters of national security is the “need of the hour.” A detailed discussion was held regarding internal security challenges, specifically in the context of Fitna-al-Khawarij, the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), and Tehreek-e-Taliban Afghanistan (TTA).

The DG ISPR highlighted that:

  • Public Awareness: A truth-based narrative is a decisive tool in countering the enemy’s psychological operations.
  • Global Stance: Pakistan remains steadfast in its principled moral support for the oppressed peoples of Kashmir and Gaza.
  • Institutional Synergy: Educational institutions, including universities and madaris, will be engaged for awareness sessions to effectively promote the state narrative.

The meeting concluded with a mutual commitment to enhance practical cooperation. The DG ISPR termed the session highly productive, expressing confidence that such consensus among stakeholders will further strengthen the social and security fabric of Pakistan.
