The 272nd Corps Commanders’ Conference (CCC), chaired by Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Asim Munir, concluded today at General Headquarters, issuing a stern warning to India and reaffirming the Pakistan Army’s unwavering commitment to national security and regional peace. The forum undertook a comprehensive review of emerging threat paradigms, operational readiness across all domains, and the progress of ongoing counter-terrorism operations.
Decisive Warning on Regional Stability
The Corps Commanders expressed grave concern regarding recent irresponsible and unwarranted provocative statements made by the Indian civil and military leadership. The forum noted that such rhetoric aligns with the known Indian propensity for whipping up war hysteria for political gain, a dangerous trend that heightens tensions and endangers regional peace and security.
In a strong message directed at New Delhi, the forum pledged to counter any future Indian aggression with a swift and decisive response, thereby shattering any perceived notion of India’s relative safety accruing from geography.
“Any imaginary new normal will be met with a new normal of swift retributive response,” the ISPR stated.
The statement explicitly warns that any ‘imaginary new normal’ India might be entertaining about bilateral dynamics will be met with this new, resolute posture.

Zero Tolerance for Terror and Crime Nexus
The meeting commenced with prayers for the martyrs of recent terrorist attacks orchestrated by Indian terror proxies. The forum then conducted a detailed review of the internal security landscape.
The participants unanimously affirmed that the existing nexus between terror and crime with vested political patronage, which gravely hurts the interests of the state and the security of its people, will not be allowed to continue anymore, come what may.
The military leadership resolved to pursue comprehensive counterterrorism operations across all domains to continue dismantling the networks of Indian-sponsored terror proxies, specifically naming Fitna al-Khawarij (Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan) and Fitna al-Hindustan (all terrorist organisations in Balochistan).
Commitment to Global and Regional Peace
The Corps Commanders acknowledged the significance of Pakistan’s recent high-level diplomatic engagements. The military welcomed the landmark mutual defence deal between Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, underscoring shared values, mutual respect, and a joint vision for peace and security in the Middle Eastern and South Asian regions.
The forum also reiterated Pakistan’s:
- Uncompromising support for the legitimate struggle of the Kashmiri people for their right to self-determination, as enshrined in relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
- Unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, voicing the principled stance for a two-state solution with an independent Palestinian state, based on pre-1967 borders and Al Quds Al Sharif as its capital.
In his closing remarks, COAS Field Marshal Asim Munir commended the spirit, resolve, and determination of the Pakistan Armed Forces. He directed commanders to ensure the highest standards of operational readiness, discipline, physical fitness, innovation, and responsiveness to counter threats across the entire spectrum, from conventional and sub-conventional, to hybrid and asymmetric threats. The COAS expressed full confidence in the operational preparedness of the Pakistan Army.
