In a brazen terrorist assault on November 10, 2025, militants from the Indian-proxy group Fitna al-Khwarij targeted Cadet College Wana in South Waziristan District, aiming to breach the facility and terrorize aspiring young cadets, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed Tuesday.

The assailants attempted to overrun the perimeter but were met with swift, resolute resistance from security forces. In desperation, the attackers rammed an explosives-laden vehicle into the main gate, causing its collapse and damage to adjacent structures. Displaying exemplary courage and precision, troops neutralized two Khwarij on the spot.

Three additional militants infiltrated the premises and are now cornered in the college’s administrative block, where clearance operations continue to eliminate the threat. All students and staff remain safe, with the area fully secured.
This barbaric attempt echoes the 2014 Army Public School Peshawar massacre, seeking to instill fear in the youth of former tribal areas pursuing education for a brighter future. ISPR highlighted that the perpetrators, under instructions from handlers in Afghanistan, expose contradictions in the Afghan Taliban’s claims of denying sanctuary to such groups on their soil. Pakistan reserves the right to respond decisively against terrorists and their enablers across the border.
Under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” vision—approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan—Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies will intensify their relentless campaign to eradicate foreign-sponsored terrorism nationwide.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff, condemned the attack as a “cowardly bid to shatter our resolve,” vowing unyielding protection for educational institutions and the nation’s future leaders.
