On 19 December 2025, Security Forces conducted two separate Intelligence Based Operations (IBOs) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, resulting in the elimination of nine khwarij belonging to the Indian-sponsored Fitna Al Khwarij (FAK).
Operation in Dera Ismail Khan District: Acting on the reported presence of terrorists, Security Forces initiated a targeted operation in Dera Ismail Khan. During the conduct of the engagement, troops effectively pinpointed the khwarij location. Following a high-intensity fire exchange, four khwarij were killed.
Operation in Bannu District: In a second intelligence-driven operation conducted in Bannu District, Security Forces engaged another group of terrorists. In the ensuing exchange of fire, five additional khwarij were successfully neutralized.
Recoveries and Terrorist Profile: A significant cache of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the deceased khwarij. The killed terrorists were identified as active proxies of Indian-sponsored Fitna Al Khwarij, having been involved in numerous high-profile terrorist activities. Their history included attacks against Security Forces, Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs), and the targeted killing of innocent civilians.

Commitment to National Security: Sanitization operations are currently underway in the respective areas to ensure the elimination of any remaining khwarij elements. These operations are part of the relentless Counter-Terrorism campaign under the vision “Azm-e-Istehkam,” as approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan.
