Rawalpindi – November 26, 2025 – In a major leap for self-reliance in defence, the Pakistan Navy on Tuesday successfully conducted the maiden flight test of an indigenously developed ship-launched Anti-Ship Ballistic Missile, the ISPR announced.
The advanced weapon system can strike both sea and land targets with pinpoint accuracy and features cutting-edge guidance and high-maneuverability capabilities.
Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf, along with senior scientists and engineers, witnessed the historic test.“The successful flight test is a testimony to Pakistan’s technological prowess and Pakistan Navy’s unwavering commitment to safeguard national interests,” the ISPR statement read.

President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, CJCSC General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, and all services chiefs congratulated the Navy teams and scientists on achieving this landmark milestone in indigenous defence production.
